Instant weight loss! No- really!

stand tall and don't slouch,

wear clothes that fit you (baggy or over-tight clothing can add pounds and pounds to your perceived weight)

wear darker, plain colours (sorry, Hawaiian shirt-lovers)

get a (fake)tan- legs and arms look slimmer when they're darker.

You may not lose any actual weight but if you look slimmer, it could be the little boost you need to get slimmer and lose the weight for real, permanently!

Very comprehensive Hub. The only item I would add is to keep a food journal. The portion control and the calories do count - do make an effort to learn what are you really consuming - it will surprise most people.
